Area InterMISSion: Beach Party

Email to a friendPrint this article

Looking for an end of summer fling? Head to the southwest coast of Portugal for a rollicking weekend at Nikki Beach Vilamoura, the latest Nikki Beach club just opened this summer.

Located in the Algarve, the southern tip of Portugal known for its pristine beaches, rugged cliffs, and the sunniest weather in Europe, this new beach club delivers the unique blend of glamour, style and hedonism for which Nikki Beach is world famous. Ensconced in the Tivoli Marinotel Hotel, the club has swaying palms, alcoves of tee-pees and big bamboo beds where you can lounge the day away. But most people don’t come to Nikki Beach to relax.

There’s full waiter service with a light-food menu and a full bar, so you can have sushi and champagne on the beach whenever you feel like it. Daily sunset parties starting at 5pm and all-day weekend parties have top DJs from around the world spinning. There’s also the Lake Restaurant which serves up sushi, salads, and seafood, and the Casa Nikki Night Club which opens at 11pm and goes until the wee hours. Proper dress (read: no bathing suits) required.

And if this doesn’t satisfy your wild side, just down the coast there’s Nikki Beach Portimão, also opened this summer.
