Collision of Forces

Email to a friendPrint this article

Welcome to the launch issue of Misstropolis, an online magazine for curious, modern, busy women…women like you.

We think you’ll find that Misstropolis is unlike anything else you’ve read on the web. With new articles on arts, culture, style, life-balance, health, books, dining, philanthropy and more every week, Misstropolis celebrates the people and stories that make our town special in a distinctly smart and interactive way.

Misstropolis grows out of a culture of ingenuity and collaboration. We believe that the way to create a new star is to encourage a collision of forces, each as unique and bright as the next.

You are the culture of Misstropolis - add your voice to the forces!

ART: Film, Theater, Fine Art

“ART enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.” Thomas Merton

CULTURE: Books, Music, Pop Culture
“The only antidote to this consumer society is CULTURE.” Vivienne Westwood

STYLE: Fashion, Personal Style, Beauty

“STYLE is a simple way of saying complicated things.” Jean Cocteau

LIFE: Health, Family, Life-Balance
“It’s better to explore LIFE and make mistakes than to play it safe. Mistakes are part of the dues one pays for a full life.” Sophia Loren

TABLE: Dining Out, Cooking, Entertaining

“At a round TABLE every seat is the head place.” German proverb

SPIRIT: Philanthropy, Community

“If you want to accomplish the goals in your life, you have to begin with the SPIRIT.” Oprah Winfrey

Robin,

Great work...looks fantastic!  Congrats!  I do miss that very witty writer from the old B-towners site though...I forget his name (Dennis something?).  He was great.

Keep up the good mojo!
