You're Invited!
January has a way of asking too much of us:
resolve re-start, perform, update, improve.
What if this year you chose privacy, creativity and patience instead?
What if you began with ritual?
Ritual Practice | Sacred Space is a group show considering the role of ritual and private space in artistic practice. Exhibited at Boston’s legendary restaurant and jazz club The Beehive, the show will feature twenty five works by ten extraordinary artists: Venetia Dale, Sam Fields, L’Merchie Frazier, Crystalle Lacouture, Rachel Perry, Daniela Rivera, Sneha Shreshtha (aka Imagine), the Safarani Sisters, Brooke Stewart, and Zainab Sumu.
The exhibit will run from January - March, and you are invited to celebrate the opening on January 15!

The results of these artists’ ritual practice extend across a wide range of mediums and materials. Expect to see sculpture made from pewter castings of houseplants and food scraps, paintings of athletic arenas with storied histories, hauntingly poetic video paintings, watercolors of scenes from Sierra Leone, kinetic paintings in Nepali script, prints of historic sites of protest, photo collage, deconstructed weavings, and graphical drawings which shimmer with color and meaning.
All works will be available to purchase—just think how deserving you will be after getting through the holidays!
Please save the date for the Opening Party on January 15, 2026 from 6 - 8pm. Tour the show, meet some of the artists, enjoy the Beehive’s food and drinks and experience all of it with the accompaniment of live music.

“I think of a scared space as something l practice, not something l perfectly maintain. Sometimes its physical, my studio, the materials, the way l start the workday, the rhythm of my workflow. And sometimes it’s internal, being intentional about silence, protecting my attention by disconnecting from the noise, choosing presence over urgency.
Ritual helps me return to myself, even when things feel chaotic.”

This is definitely an event you don’t want to MISS.
